5+ years running 400+ Linux servers in production. I build the automation, observability, and disaster-recovery pipelines that turn large infrastructure into self-healing systems.
Results-driven Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer with proven expertise in automation (Bash, Python, Puppet, Ansible), CI/CD pipeline design, observability (Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus), high availability, and disaster recovery (LVM, DRBD). Passionate about infrastructure-as-code and building self-healing, reliable systems.
Who I am
I'm a Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer based in Morocco, currently managing a fleet of over 400 Linux servers for Webpick / Pilot Systems — keeping them patched, monitored, and running smoothly around the clock.
My work sits at the intersection of infrastructure reliability and automation. I build the scripts, pipelines, and runbooks that turn repetitive operations into self-managing systems — using Bash, Python, Puppet, and Ansible.
When things break (and they do), I'm the one performing root-cause analysis and shipping lasting fixes in collaboration with development and QA teams. Open to remote roles worldwide.
Work history
- Manage and maintain 400+ Linux servers (Proxmox KVM), ensuring high availability through proactive monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning.
- Built Bash, Python, and Puppet automation pipelines reducing manual operational overhead by ~40%; integrated Nagios alerting with Grafana and Prometheus dashboards.
- Designed and tested comprehensive disaster recovery strategies using LVM and DRBD, achieving minimal RTO/RPO for all critical services.
- Served as escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents; performed root-cause analysis in collaboration with development and QA teams.
- Authored internal runbooks and SOPs, standardising procedures and significantly reducing onboarding time for new engineers.
- Managed enterprise IT infrastructure for multiple clients, resolving 50+ tickets/day via ITSM tooling while consistently meeting all SLA targets.
- Administered mixed Windows / Linux environments; identified recurring failure patterns and collaborated with engineering to ship permanent fixes.
- Delivered consistently high user-satisfaction scores across all client engagements through responsive, thorough support.
- Delivered end-to-end infrastructure projects for international clients: virtualisation (KVM, VMware), network configuration, firewall hardening, and security implementation.
- Performed server migrations and infrastructure design from scratch across Windows and Linux environments.
